Engineering Excellence Awards 2026 entries closing soon as July deadline approaches

The Engineering Excellence Awards 2026 is accepting entries until 24 July, inviting Ireland's engineering community to submit across 26 categories spanning civil, mechanical, electrical, and biomedical engineering through to sustainability, smart infrastructure, and people development. With finalists set to be announced on 21 August and the awards gala scheduled for 21 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, the deadline represents the final opportunity for organisations and individuals to have their work recognised at national level.

A member of RICS, SCSI, and CIArb, McNamara contributes a practitioner's command of engineering project delivery and quantity surveying to the evaluation of entries across the awards programme.

Dr John Mulvihill steps onto the judging panel for Engineering Excellence Awards 2026

Dr John Mulvihill, Associate Professor in Biomechanics and Mechanobiology at the University of Limerick, joins the judging panel for the Engineering Excellence Awards 2026, bringing over €3.5 million in secured research funding, 45 peer-reviewed publications, and a Marie Curie Fellowship spanning Georgia Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin to the evaluation process. A specialist in cellular mechanobiology and traumatic brain injury research with an h-index of 22, Mulvihill contributes an internationally recognised biomedical engineering perspective to the assessment of entries across Ireland's most trusted engineering recognition programme.
