Beale & Co, an Ireland-based law firm, has announced the appointment of Jeremy Curran as partner in its Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure team in Dublin, according to Construction Ireland.
Joining from global law firm DLA Piper, Curran brings over 20 years' experience advising on construction matters across residential, commercial, industrial, life sciences, infrastructure and energy sectors.
Originally qualified as a civil engineer, Curran has lived and worked in Australia, the Far East, the Middle East and Europe. He is admitted to practice in Ireland, England & Wales, and New South Wales, Australia.
Curran will join Beale & Co's Contracts and Projects Advisory team, advising clients on front-end project matters including contract reviews and tender checks, contract formation and project procurement, tender procedures and competitions, negotiation and conclusion of contract documents, joint ventures and contractual entitlements, project variations and dispute avoidance.
His clients have included contractors, consultants, developers, investors, funders, non-bank lenders and end-users. In addition to private practice experience, he spent nine years as in-house counsel for a Dubai-based multinational, advising on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
The appointment strengthens Beale & Co's engineering and infrastructure capabilities in Dublin, providing enhanced technical expertise for complex construction projects. Curran's dual qualification as both civil engineer and legal practitioner offers clients integrated engineering and contractual advisory services across major infrastructure developments.
His engineering background enables practical understanding of construction methodologies, project execution challenges and technical specifications, whilst his legal expertise addresses contractual frameworks, procurement strategies and risk management across large-scale engineering projects.
The Dublin-based Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure team advises on residential developments, commercial complexes, industrial facilities, life sciences projects, infrastructure networks and energy installations, supporting clients throughout project lifecycles from initial procurement through construction delivery and operational handover.
