Cork-headquartered engineering firm Flow Technology has partnered with BW Forsyth Partners to expand its US and European operations. The deal strengthens Flow Technology's capacity to deliver engineered process systems as biopharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers invest heavily in production capacity and advanced manufacturing infrastructure.

Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Charleville, Co. Cork, Flow Technology provides engineered process systems, skid integration and maintenance services to biopharmaceutical, food, beverage, dairy and distillery manufacturers. The company designs, fabricates, installs and supports highly engineered systems used in complex, regulated production environments.

Flow Technology's engineering expertise spans downstream purification, filtration and chromatography systems, positioning it to support the sophisticated process infrastructure required to manufacture next-generation therapies. The company recently secured two major US engineering projects for global biopharmaceutical manufacturers investing in their US expansion.

BW Forsyth Partners is a St. Louis-based investment firm that partners with founder- and family-owned businesses through long-term investment and operational support. The firm's existing portfolio includes Machine Solutions, a manufacturer of precision manufacturing and automation equipment for the medical and life sciences industry.

Brian Holthouse, Partner at BW Forsyth Partners, said: "For more than four decades, Flow Technology has been a trusted engineering partner to biopharmaceutical manufacturers, helping them execute complex projects safely, efficiently and at scale." Holthouse added: "We are excited to partner with the team in Charleville to provide the support necessary to expand its capabilities, grow its U.S. presence and continue delivering exceptional outcomes for customers."

Kevin Whooley, Managing Director of Flow Technology, said: "This partnership enables us to further invest in our people, enhance our capabilities, broaden our reach and continue delivering the engineered solutions our customers depend on to achieve their manufacturing goals." Tim Murphy, Owner of Flow Technology, added: "We have found a partner in Forsyth that shares our culture and commitment to caring for our people, while building on our dedication to engineering excellence."

For the sector, Flow Technology will continue operating under its existing leadership team, with the partnership also creating opportunities to collaborate with Machine Solutions on complementary technical and manufacturing expertise. The combined organisations are positioned to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers navigating increasingly complex, high-precision production requirements.
