Irish MEP, energy, sustainability and BIM consultancy EDC, Engineering Design Consultants has appointed Michelle Kelly as associate director in its Dublin office, according to Irish Building Magazine, recognising her contribution to the firm's growth while reinforcing leadership capacity as the company scales across Ireland and the UK.

Kelly has played a central role in the development of EDC's Dublin operations since joining the firm, leading its MEP and sustainability function and building client relationships across multidisciplinary teams. In her new role, she will continue to support the strategic development of the Dublin office and contribute to the company's broader ambitions across both markets.

Kelly said: "I'm incredibly grateful to step into the role of Associate Director at EDC. I've been fortunate to work alongside a supportive and talented team, and I truly appreciate the trust that's been placed in me."

Gareth Murphy, executive director in Dublin, said Kelly's "ability to bring teams together across disciplines, combined with her technical strength and focus on delivery, has had a clear impact on how we operate," describing the promotion as a natural next step.

Managing director Richard O'Farrell said: "Michelle is exactly the kind of leader EDC needs as we grow. She leads with integrity, brings people with her, and holds the standard. As we scale across Ireland and the UK, having leaders of this calibre in our Dublin office is exactly what this next phase requires."

EDC operates offices in Ireland, the UK and Turkey, delivering integrated MEP design, energy and sustainability engineering, and digital BIM services across the built environment.
