Six days remain until the Engineering Excellence Awards 2026 crowns its winners on Wednesday, 21 October at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry. Finalists, sponsors and senior figures from across Ireland's engineering industry will gather for a black-tie evening celebrating engineering excellence and innovation.
The shortlist spans 23 categories, from Engineering Firm of the Year and Rising Star in Engineering to Civil Engineering Project of the Year, Renewable Energy Engineering Project of the Year and the Sustainability Award. Finalists include ESB, ORS, Kirby Group Engineering and Powercomm Group, reflecting the range of engineering projects and talent shaping the sector. The Engineering Project of the Year will be revealed live at the ceremony.
Behind every decision sits an independent judging panel drawn from academia and industry, with experts from Trinity College Dublin, the University of Limerick, Mott MacDonald Ireland and Gas Networks Ireland. Their expertise in engineering leadership, sustainable engineering and project delivery will decide this year's winners.
Comedian, author and broadcaster Colm O'Regan will host the evening. Guests are asked to arrive at 18.30 for a drinks reception, followed by dinner at 19.30. The awards ceremony begins at 21.30, with entertainment from 23.00, music until midnight and a late bar open until 1.00am.
The event is supported by Gold Sponsors Powercomm Group and Eland Cables, as well as Supporter Amárach Research. Their backing helps bring together hundreds of senior executives for a night of recognition and networking.
