Belfast-headquartered civil engineering contractor Farrans has opened applications for 60 graduate, placement and apprenticeship engineering roles. Successful candidates will join Farrans' engineering teams working on water, energy, aviation and transportation infrastructure projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe in June and September 2027.

The recruitment drive forms part of Farrans Foundation, the company's award-winning two-year graduate programme, which combines practical site experience with structured learning, mentoring and professional development. Graduates gain exposure to major infrastructure projects while working towards professional accreditation with recognised industry bodies.

Opportunities are available across a wide range of engineering disciplines, including civil engineering and quantity surveying. Undergraduate placement students gain practical engineering experience on a full-year or summer basis, with high performers eligible for bursaries to support their final year of study.

Apprenticeship opportunities combine hands-on engineering experience on live projects with structured training and recognised qualifications, allowing apprentices to develop practical skills alongside experienced industry professionals. The application process for graduates, placements and apprentices remains open until December 2026, with interviews taking place throughout autumn and offers made in early 2027.
