Induchem Group Ireland, part of Swedish industrial group AxFlow, has acquired Manufacturing Assembly Aid Systems Limited, a Cork-based precision machine house, in a strategic move to strengthen its engineered product portfolio, according to an Axel Johnson International press release.

Founded over 30 years ago in Cork, MAAS provides manufacturing engineering services including design, product development, manufacturing and supply of machined parts and components. The company serves multinational and Irish-owned manufacturers across medical devices, pharmaceutical, automotive, industrial automation, environmental and food sectors. Approximately 50 per cent of turnover originates from medical and pharmaceutical markets.

David Carroll, head of strategy at Induchem Group, said MAAS represents an excellent strategic fit. The company's technical expertise, customer relationships and value-added engineered solutions align with growth strategy. Combining MAAS's specialist capabilities with Induchem's sales and market approach creates opportunities to expand within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical and high-growth sectors.

Tadhg Hurley, managing director of MAAS, described joining Induchem Group and AxFlow as an exciting development milestone. The partnership provides platform, resources and commercial support to strengthen sales capability, diversify into growth segments and accelerate long-term ambitions whilst delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

MAAS will continue operating from its Cork facility with existing management and employees remaining in place, ensuring customer and partner continuity.
