UK air traffic control and engineering services provider NATS has signed a new 10-year strategic partnership with Belfast International Airport, according to Nats Aero, continuing its provision of air traffic control and engineering services as the airport advances a £100 million investment programme.

Under the agreement, NATS will maintain air traffic control and engineering services at the airport while also working with Belfast International on future air traffic management and engineering projects as the site continues to develop. The service will continue to be provided by NATS Services.

Owned and operated by VINCI Airports, Belfast International Airport is currently delivering a five-year investment programme valued at £100 million (approximately €118 million), aimed at improving operational efficiency, modernising facilities and enhancing the passenger experience.

The 10-year deal secures continuity of specialist air traffic management and engineering support at Belfast International during a period of significant capital investment, with the airport expanding its capacity and route network as demand for Northern Ireland's primary international gateway continues to grow.

The partnership positions NATS as a long-term technical and operational partner for one of the UK's regional airports during a critical phase of infrastructure modernisation, combining established air traffic control expertise with engineering services support across the airport's ongoing development programme.
