UK subsea engineering firm T12 Engineering has completed the assembly and shipment of a 60-tonne subsea structure to Norway, according to Insider Media, marking one of the largest projects in the company's history and reflecting its continued growth in the Norwegian offshore market.

The structure, designed for an independent Norwegian oil and gas operator, departed from the Port of Immingham ahead of offshore installation in the Norwegian Sea. With a footprint of 59 square metres, the gravity base structure will support mission-critical subsea equipment in a challenging offshore environment.

The project was delivered on an EPC basis, with T12 Engineering's team involved at every stage of the project lifecycle, from concept development and detailed design through to fabrication oversight, assembly and shipment.

Director Graham Melroy said: "The successful assembly and shipment of the GBS is a major achievement for everyone involved and represents one of the largest projects T12 Engineering has delivered. This project demonstrates our ability to deliver complex EPC projects and engineer large-scale subsea infrastructure for international operators. From concept development and detailed design through to fabrication oversight, assembly and shipment, our team has played a key role in every stage of the project lifecycle."

He added: "Seeing the structure finally leave UK shores for Norway is a proud moment for our team and our project partners. It reflects the quality of engineering expertise we have built within T12 and our growing capability to support major offshore developments across the North Sea and beyond."

T12 Engineering operates offices in Teesside, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Oslo. The shipment follows the recent establishment of its Oslo office, which the company said strengthens its ability to support operators and energy companies across the North Sea region as it pursues further growth in the Norwegian market.

The completion of the project positions T12 Engineering as a capable delivery partner for complex international offshore infrastructure, with the firm expanding its presence across North Sea markets at a time of sustained activity in the subsea sector.
